Asaka – Whisky Collection Koriyama 2026 Exclusive Bottling Single Cask Single Malt (70cl, 61%)

A single cask Japanese single malt from the Asaka Distillery of Sasanokawa Shuzo, bottled for the Whisky Collection Koriyama 2026. It was distilled on 9 April 2020, matured for more than six years in a first fill bourbon barrel that previously held Early Times Kentucky bourbon, and bottled on 30 July 2026. It comes at a natural cask strength of 61% ABV, unchill-filtered, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery's long fermentation in wooden washbacks shapes its character, and 190 bottles were released. The colour is pale gold. The nose has green apple, kyoho grape, pear, vanilla, honey and lemon butter cake. The palate is cooked pears and peaches with malt and salted butter, and the finish is lingering oak spice.
