Baker's 7 Year Old Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Jim Beam distillery, bottled at 53.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The brand takes its name from Baker Beam, cousin of Booker Noe, the sixth-generation master distiller at Jim Beam.
It is matured in new charred American white oak for over seven years, on the eighth and ninth levels of the warehouse. The bottle design was revised in 2020 to emphasise its single barrel character.
On the nose there is burnt wood, sweet and savoury almond, caramel, toast, a hint of herbs and a touch of yeast, with roasted nuts and toasted oak to the fore.
