Baker's is a seven-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Jim Beam, bottled at a cask strength of 53.5% in a 750ml bottle. It belongs to the small batch range and follows a recipe developed by Baker Beam, Jim Beam's grand nephew. The bourbon has matured for at least seven years in new American oak barrels.
The nose brings red apple, dark honey, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg, with a toasted nut note emerging over time. On the palate come peanut butter on burnt toast, sweet vanilla, charred oak, rye and caramelised orchard fruit, leading to a very long finish of cinnamon, black liquorice and corn sweetness.
