Baker's Single Barrel 7 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 53.5%)

Baker's Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Jim Beam's Small Batch Collection, aged a minimum of seven years and bottled at 107 proof (53.5%) in a 750ml bottle. The name comes from Baker Beam, a grand-nephew of Jim Beam and a sixth generation Beam family distiller. Baker's became a single barrel brand in 2019, so each bottle comes from one selected barrel. The neck tag records the date barreled, serial number, warehouse and exact age, and some barrels run a little older. The mashbill is 77% corn, 13% rye and 10% malted barley. The nose has caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and roasted nuts. The palate shows brown sugar, baking spice, dark butterscotch and oak, and the finish is long, smooth and lightly spicy.
