Bakery Hill Double Wood is an Australian single malt from a family-owned distillery. It is matured for up to 7 years in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels from Jack Daniel's, then spends time in virgin French oak ex-wine barrels. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 50cl bottle.
The nose opens with a slight hint of apricot, coconut and plum, followed by golden syrup and plum pudding with a spicy touch of cloves. The palate is subdued yet mouth-filling, with orange marmalade, nougat sweetness and balanced oak. The finish is rounded and lingering.
