Bakery Hill – Peated Malt Single Malt Whisky (50cl, 46%)

Bakery Hill Peated Malt is a single malt from a family-owned Australian distillery that has been making whisky for over 20 years. It is matured for up to 8 years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels that previously held Jack Daniel's, and is bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle. The peat is meant to complement the sweet, floral and fresh character of the spirit rather than overpower it. The nose is subdued peat with leather, kumquat and fruit mince tart. On the palate are tobacco leaf, smoke, toffee and honeycomb, followed by a long, complex finish.
