Balcones Texas Single Malt Classic Edition comes from Balcones, which began in 2008 in an old welding shop under a bridge in Waco, Texas.
It is a malt whisky made with classic techniques and ingredients adapted for New World tastes.
The nose has toffee and overripe fruit. On the palate, toasted malt and honey give way to mellow baked pears and apples, and the long finish carries cinnamon and cloves.
