This is Ballechin 18, a Highland single malt from the Edradour range, bottled at cask strength as Batch 2. It is a smoky malt, and the peat shows in the tasting notes alongside oak spice. The nose is typically described as smoky citrus fruit, mandarin and malt sweets. On the palate, peat smoke and oak spice are joined by malt sweets, dark fruit and chocolate.
