Ballechin is the peated version of Edradour, sold under this name because the original Ballechin distillery no longer exists. Edradour stands a few miles west of Pitlochry, near Moulin, in the Highlands. It is believed to have been founded in 1825 and is the only Scottish distillery still run entirely in the style of a farmhouse operation.
