This is a Kentucky blended straight whiskey from Bardstown Bourbon Co., in a 75cl bottle at 55% ABV. It is the second collaboration between the distillery and Maison Ferrand, and a limited release.
The blend is mostly Kentucky bourbon, aged 9, 11 and 12 years, with a share of Bardstown rye. It was then finished for 15 months in Maison Ferrand Cognac barrels.
The nose brings black cherry, toasted oak, vanilla cream and rye spice. The palate offers baked apple, pecan and raisin, and the full-bodied flavour carries into the finish, with a touch of mint.
