Bardstown Bourbon Co. – Origin Series Wheated Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon 6 Year (75cl, 50%)

Origin Series is the first bottled-in-bond bourbon from Bardstown Bourbon Co. made entirely from whiskey distilled at its own distillery, in a 750ml bottle at 50% ABV. Until now the company had worked mainly with sourced whiskey. The mash bill is 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, made with locally sourced Kentucky corn and wheat, and the bourbon is aged for six years. The tasting notes describe baked peach with cream, cocoa and hints of lemon. The mouthfeel is smooth, with stone fruit and toffee, leading to a lasting finish.
