This is a blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskey from Bardstown Bourbon Co., in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 104 proof. The blend draws on whiskeys of 10, 11 and 12 years from Indiana and Kentucky.
It was then aged for a further 32 months in Single Malt Scotch whisky barrels from the Isle of Jura, a mix of 84% ex-bourbon and 16% ex-sherry barrels.
The nose offers vanilla crème, blackberry compote and mint, with toasted oak and cigar box. The palate brings fresh spearmint, caramel and light cinnamon spice, and the finish carries fruit-forward sherry notes.
