This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Bardstown Bourbon Company, made entirely in-house and aged for six years. It is bottled at 53% ABV in a 75cl-style 750ml bottle.
The recipe is a high-rye mash bill of corn, rye and malted barley, which gives the spirit its spicy edge alongside a layered sweetness.
On the palate it is rich and warming, with caramel, vanilla bean, toasted oak and dark honey, then cinnamon, clove, orange peel and cracked pepper. The finish is long, with baking spice and charred oak.
