This is a blended American whiskey made as a collaboration between Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky and the Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados. It is a limited release, bottled at 53.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The blend joins 7-year-old rye whiskey with 17-year-old bourbon, which then spent 23 months finishing in Foursquare rum barrels.
The palate is rich and warming, with brown sugar, molasses, toasted coconut, caramel, orange zest and baking spice, set against aged oak and rye spice. The long finish brings banana bread, tropical fruit and dark maple syrup.
