Barmen 1873 Bourbon (75cl, 46%)

This is a blend of straight bourbons bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The brand takes its name from the year the Coors family business was founded, and it is produced by Coors Whiskey Co. The bourbon is sourced from Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky and from MGP in Indiana. It was blended with Peggy Noe Stevens, a master bourbon taster, who helped choose the barrels from both distilleries. The blend is bottled in Bardstown, Kentucky. The nose is melted caramel, raspberry and soft cedar. The palate has vanilla, caramel, grilled peach, raisin and apple, with hints of coffee, dark chocolate, dill and mint. The finish is long and spicy, with candied ginger, cinnamon and charred oak.
