Barsol Quebranta is a Peruvian pisco made entirely from Quebranta grapes by Bodega San Isidro in the Ica Valley. It is bottled at 41.3% in a 750ml bottle.
It is distilled in copper pots in small batches and comes off the still at bottling strength, so nothing is added afterwards.
The nose is grape-forward, with hay, dried banana, white bread, apricot blossom and jasmine. The palate is smooth and slightly oily, with dark grape, white peach, citrus zest and green apple, and a gentle pepper spice. The finish is medium and clean, with dark chocolate, pecan and wet stone.
