Basil Hayden's is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon, in a 70cl bottle.
Its story begins in 1796, when Master Distiller Basil Hayden Sr. mixed small grains into the mash of a traditional corn-based bourbon. He thought the spiciness of rye would set off the sweetness of the corn.
It is described as having hints of peppermint, notes of pepper and slight citrus overtones, with a spicy, warming finish.
