Beaulieu Vineyard's Georges de Latour Private Reserve is a 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California, in a 75cl bottle. It is the estate's flagship wine, first made in 1936, with grapes taken from the western bench of the Rutherford AVA, in BV Ranches No. 1 and No. 2, originally planted by Georges de Latour. It was aged in French oak.
The nose is intense, with wild sage, blackcurrant, cedar and fresh mint. The palate is full-bodied, with ripe blackberry, redcurrant and red rose petal, alongside graphite, licorice root, stone and dark chocolate, plus sandalwood, clove and cinnamon from the oak. The tannins are silky and fine-grained, and the finish is long, with a cocoa powder texture.
