Ben Nevis Coire Leis is a single malt from the Ben Nevis distillery near Fort William, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is named after the small lake of Coire Leis and is one of two distillery bottlings released together. It is of natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The whisky matured in first-fill bourbon casks and virgin oak.
The nose is warming, with toffee, honey and vanilla, then malted biscuits, charred oak and sweet barley. The palate is creamy, with apricot, pear, malty sweetness and spicy oak. The finish is slender and oily, with fading spice.
