B&B is a French liqueur that blends Benedictine D.O.M., the herbal liqueur of 27 herbs and spices from Fécamp in Normandy, with fine French brandy. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The blend is roughly 60 per cent Benedictine to 40 per cent brandy, matured in French oak for over two years. The idea began in the 1930s in Manhattan, where Benedictine was cut with brandy for a drier, more spirit-forward style.
It is old gold amber, with honey, citrus peel, herbs, vanilla and sweet spice on the nose. The palate is warm, dry and layered, with honeyed sweetness, herbal, citrus and woody notes over mellow oak. The finish is silky and long, with vanilla and gingerbread warmth.
