A 24-year-old Speyside single malt from BenRiach, distilled in 1999 and matured in a single refill sherry butt. Gordon & MacPhail bottled it for Connoisseurs Choice, a range introduced in 1968, at a cask strength of 57.1%. It was bottled on 27 February 2024 in a 70cl bottle, with 492 bottles from the cask.
The tasting notes describe Brazil nut, Seville orange and subtle lavender on the nose. The palate is sweet, with raspberry and liquorice leading to treacle toffee and ginger spice. The finish is full and spicy, with lasting citrus.
