A Speyside single malt from Benromach, bottled by Cadenhead as part of their Authentic Collection at 53.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in February 1966 and bottled in October 1993, the year the then mothballed distillery was bought by Gordon & Macphail. It comes from a single cask and is neither coloured nor chill-filtered. The nose is grassy and waxy, with shoe polish, rocks, engine oil, metal and coal. The palate is mineral, leathery and bitter, with tangerines and kumquats appearing once water is added. The finish is long.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
