Benromach Contrasts: Virgin Oak is a 10 year old Speyside single malt, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2024. For this first release in the Contrasts series, new virgin oak casks were made in Speyside and gently charred before being filled with Benromach malt.
It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose brings dried banana, fresh lemon and vanilla fudge. On the palate are Seville orange peel, buttery toffee and a hint of smoke. The long finish is citrus-led, with a light touch of oak.
