A 5 year old single malt from the Cotswolds Distillery, a 2018 vintage bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd from cask no. 2194 at 53.5% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was started in 2014 by Daniel Szor and uses barley grown in the Cotswolds.
The nose begins with dry, nutty Oloroso sherry, building into dates, prunes and figs, then orchard fruits and a fresh floral side. The palate is chewy, moving from sherry wood to green apples, honeycomb and Victoria sponge. The finish is long, with baking spice, prunes and a little citrus.
