Best Dram Bunnahabhain Staoisha 2014/2025 11 Year Old First Fill Bourbon Barrel (70cl, 55.7%)

This Bunnahabhain Staoisha is an 11 year old Islay single malt, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 by Best Dram. It was matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel and bottled at cask strength, 55.7%, in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. It is a heavily peated whisky with a softness and depth that go beyond what the peat suggests. Peat smoke comes first on the nose, followed by gentle vanilla, fresh oak and light fruit. The palate joins smoky notes, tropical fruit and spice, and the finish is long, warm and full of structure.
