Big Peat 10 Years Old is an Islay blended malt from Douglas Laing, made to mark the tenth birthday of the Big Peat brand. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is from the 2009 vintage and was bottled on 23 January 2019. The edition is limited to 5100 bottles worldwide.
The nose brings peat smoke, damp leaves and a peppery warmth. On the palate come smoked barley, ash and strong maritime notes, wrapped in a leathery sweetness. The finish is long, with fine bacon, tobacco, toasted marshmallows and charred wood.
