Big Peat Christmas Edition 2017 (70cl, 54.1%)

Big Peat Christmas Edition 2017 is a very peaty blended malt made from Islay single malts, bottled at a cask strength of 54.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is the seventh edition and combines seven single malts, among them Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila and the closed Port Ellen distillery. The label this year shows Big Peat leaning into a snowstorm on the island of Islay. The nose is intense and fresh, with roasted hazelnuts, iodine and mint. The palate is delicate, with milk chocolate, sweets and bonfire smoke, and the finish is oily and malty.
