Big Peat Christmas Edition 2022 (70cl, 54.2%)

Big Peat Christmas Edition 2022 is a blended malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.2% ABV without chill-filtration or added colouring. It contains malts from the closed Port Ellen distillery and from every working Islay distillery. The label carries an illustration of the bearded fisherman with a Christmas wreath on his head, and the bottle has a red and white striped capsule. The nose is intensely smoky, with peat, earthy notes, vanilla and caramel sweetness and a maritime edge. The palate is malty, with marshmallow, oak and smoke. The finish is warm and long, ending on oak and smoke.
