Big Peat Feis Ile 2017 is a blended malt from Douglas Laing's Big Peat series, bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. This Islay blend combines Caol Ila, Bowmore, Ardbeg and Port Ellen, and only 1,600 bottles were made. It is the first Big Peat to include maturation in a sherry cask.
The nose offers lemon, vanilla, wood and chimney smoke. The palate brings peppery spice, tobacco smoke, cooked fruit and malty sweetness, with peat following. The finish is dry and pronounced, with caramel, wood and peat.
