Big Peat (70cl, 46%)

Big Peat is a smoky blended malt made from Islay whiskies, among them Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and Port Ellen. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, and its label has a comic-style design. It was named Best Blended Malt Scotch Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards 2010. Its smoke level is given as 40 ppm. The nose is typical Islay, with peat smoke followed by gentle sweetness. Strong smoke leads the palate alongside sweet notes. The finish is medium in length, smoky, slightly dry and sweet.
