Big Peat Peatrichor Feis Ile 2021 (70cl, 53.8%)

Big Peat Peatrichor is a special Feis Ile 2021 edition of Douglas Laing's Big Peat, a blended malt in a 70cl bottle at 53.8% ABV. It is a tribute to the rain that falls on Islay, and its name refers to the scent of rain striking dry earth. The blend is made only from whiskies distilled on Islay and is bottled at cask strength, giving a peaty, coastal character. 5,190 bottles were produced. The nose brings the earthy scent of Islay. On the palate, wet earth joins a good measure of peat smoke and fine leather notes. The finish is long.
