Big Peat The Judo Edition (2019) (70cl, 50%)

The Judo Edition is a limited edition of Big Peat, a blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its inspiration from judo, the martial art that originated in Japan. The blend is made only from Islay single malts: Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila and Port Ellen. Caol Ila adds sweetness, Bowmore fruitiness, Ardbeg a medicinal quality and Port Ellen an earthy tone. The character is sooty and beachy, phenolic and ashy, with leathery notes and a salty edge.
