Big Peat The Vatertag Edition Batch 1 2019 (70cl, 48%)

Big Peat The Vatertag Edition is a limited blended malt from Douglas Laing, made to mark Father's Day. This is Batch 1 from 2019, bottled at 48%. It combines single malts from Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and Port Ellen, and is bottled with natural colour and without chill-filtering. The character is maritime and smoky, capturing the typical aromas of Islay. Pale gold in colour, it has a very pronounced smoke on the nose, with a hint of campfire and dried seaweed. The palate brings peat smoke, sweet maple syrup, tar and damp earth, and the finish is long and salty.
