Black Gate – BG095 Bourbon Cask Peated Whisky (50cl, 57.8%)

Black Gate BG095 is a peated Australian whisky matured in Buffalo Trace bourbon casks. It is bottled at 57.8% in a 50cl bottle and is over three years old. The bourbon cask lets the flavour of the spirit come through. Black Gate Distillery is a small, husband and wife operation in Mendooran, in Central West New South Wales, established in 2009. It distils in direct fired copper pot stills of 630 and 300 litres, producing a spirit on the richer end of the flavour spectrum.
