This is a 14 year old single malt from Bladnoch in the Lowlands, the 2023 release of its sherry cask bottling. It was matured entirely in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and is bottled at 46.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring.
The nose combines wood spices, raisins and sultanas with orange peel and a little chocolate. On the palate there are raisins, dried fruit and rich fruit cake, with sweet cinnamon and chocolate. The finish is rich and long, with a light dryness.
