Blanton's Gold Edition is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, drawn from a single barrel and bottled at 51.5%. The mash bill is high in rye, made up of corn, rye and malted barley. It is matured in new, heavily charred American oak barrels in Warehouse H.
The nose combines rye and tobacco with caramel, honey, dark fruit and fresh citrus. On the palate rye, tobacco and honey are joined by charred oak and vanilla. The finish is long, with oak and spice.
