Blanton's Gold Edition Single Barrel Bourbon (70cl, 51.5%)

Blanton's Gold Edition is a single barrel bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, in a 70cl bottle at 51.5% ABV. Blanton's is described as the world's first single barrel bourbon. It was named by Master Distiller Elmer T Lee in tribute to Col. Albert B. Blanton, under whom he worked in the late 1940s and who hand-picked barrels from warehouse H. The nose opens with spicy rye and tobacco, followed by caramel, honey, dark fruit and citrus. On the palate rye, tobacco and honey lead, with charred oak and vanilla, into a very long finish.
