Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon Original

This is a single barrel bourbon from Blanton's, first introduced in 1984 as the world's first commercially released single barrel bourbon. Each bottle comes from an individual barrel taken from the centre-cut sections of Warehouse H at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. These barrels were once reserved for ambassadors, dignitaries and the close family and friends of Colonel Albert B. Blanton, before the bourbon reached a wider audience. The nose offers ripe fruit, citrus, dry spice, creamy vanilla, caramel and butterscotch. The palate is full-bodied and warming, with oak, chocolate, toffee, beeswax, cinnamon, clove, cardamom and ginger.
