Blanton's Straight From The Barrel Bourbon Whiskey

Blanton's Straight From The Barrel is a cask strength bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery. The brand is named after Albert B. Blanton, who devoted more than 60 years to the distillery, and its Original bottling was first introduced in 1984. The bourbon comes from Warehouse H, which is clad entirely in metal. It sees sharp temperature swings between day and night and is steamed in winter to keep it warm. The nose opens with caramel and vanilla, then dried apple, citrus, dried apricot, warm spice, walnut and hazelnut. The palate is strong and oily, with charred oak, pepper and spice. The finish is long, with caramel, oak and a gentle peppery warmth.
