Blue Spot is a 7 year old single pot still Irish whiskey made at Midleton Distillery, in a 70cl bottle at a cask strength of 58.2%. It revives the historic Spot Whiskey range.
The whiskey has matured for a minimum of seven years in a mix of bourbon casks, sherry butts and Madeira casks, and it is bottled at natural cask strength.
The nose brings tropical and orchard fruit with vanilla, toasted oak and warming spices. On the palate come ripe peach, green apple, honey, dark chocolate, cinnamon and nutmeg, and the finish is long, warming and spicy.
