Booker's 2017-02 is the second named batch of 2017 from the Booker's range at Jim Beam, a Kentucky straight bourbon that is uncut and non-chill-filtered. It is bottled at 62.85% ABV in a 75cl bottle, after about six years and four months of ageing.
The Blue Knights name pays tribute to law enforcement and to the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.
The nose is warm caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, brown sugar and baking spice. The palate is full, with toffee, charred barrel, rye pepper and dark fruit over an oily texture. The finish is long and warming, with barrel spice and sweet vanilla.
