Booker's Batch 2016-02 'Anni's Answer' is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, bottled uncut and unfiltered at natural barrel proof. It is the second named batch of 2016, in a 75cl bottle. The name honours Anni Noe, daughter-in-law of Booker Noe and wife of Fred Noe, the current Jim Beam master distiller. The bourbon comes from center-cut rickhouse barrels aged between six and eight years. The nose is warm caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and baking spice. The palate is full and concentrated, with toffee, charred barrel, rye pepper and dark fruit. The finish is long and warming, with persistent barrel spice and sweet vanilla.
