Booker's Bourbon Batch 2014-05 (75cl, 64%)

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2014-05 is the fifth batch of 2014, a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled uncut and unfiltered at natural barrel proof. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 63.95% ABV (127.9 proof). The bourbon was distilled at the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, from a mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. It was aged for 7 years and 5 months in barrels from the centre of the rickhouse. The nose is warm caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and baking spice. The palate is full and concentrated, with toffee, charred barrel, rye spice, brown sugar and dark fruit. The finish is long and warming, with persistent barrel spice.
