Booker's Bourbon Batch 2017-01 'Tommy's Batch' Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 64.3%)

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2017-01, known as Tommy's Batch, is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon bottled uncut and unfiltered at 128.5 proof (64.25%) in a 750ml bottle. It is the first of four batches in the 2017 Booker's collection. The batch is named for Tommy Crume, a longtime confidant of Booker Noe who worked at Jim Beam for nearly 30 years and became Distillery Manager before retiring in 2016. Fred Noe selected it with Tommy's help. It was drawn from 335 barrels across three warehouses and aged 6 years, 4 months and 6 days. The nose is vanilla, nuts, toasted oak, caramel and subtle tobacco, with a little smoke. The palate has vanilla, caramel, oak spice, dried fruit and barrel char, and the finish is long, with warm oak spice and vanilla.
