Booker's Bourbon Batch 2025-02, named the By the Pond Batch, is the second release of the 2025 Booker's Small Batch collection. This Kentucky straight bourbon is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 63.25% ABV (126.5 proof), after 7 years, 1 month and 20 days of ageing.
The batch was drawn from eight rickhouse locations. It is named for the pond behind Booker Noe's house, where he fished for catfish and bluegill. Fred Noe selected it with that picture in mind, and chose it for its warm amber colour.
The nose is toasted cinnamon, caramel, burnt sugar and toasted and charred oak, over vanilla cream. The palate brings vanilla extract, caramelised cinnamon roll and sweet oak, with roasted peanut and a touch of red berry.
