A Langhe DOC Nebbiolo from Borgogno, grown in the Langhe hills on calcareous soil. It is bright garnet red, with a bouquet of rose, cherry, spice, tobacco and liquorice.
On the palate it is enveloping and fresh, with silky tannins and a balanced structure that gives pleasant persistence. Ageing is generally carried out in oak barrels, softening the rougher tones and enhancing aromatic complexity. It is ideal with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
