Breckenridge Rum Cask Finish is a Colorado bourbon bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is finished in casks seasoned with the distillery's own rum, which is infused with dried fruit peels, spices, roots and barks.
The bourbon starts from the distillery's mashbill of 56% yellow corn, 38% green rye and 6% barley, blended with other sourced high-rye whiskies and aged in new American oak before the rum cask finish.
Tasting notes mention baking spices, vanilla, caramel and ripe banana on the nose, then candied apple, cinnamon, dark chocolate and a peppery rye backbone on the palate. The finish is long and sweet, with exotic spices and gentle oak.
