This is a 13-year-old Bruichladdich single malt from Islay, part of the Micro Provence series. It was made from Optic barley and filled into a first fill bourbon cask, number 1216, on 31 May 2010, where it stayed throughout. It matured in warehouse WHSP3 under Head Distiller Adam Hannett and was bottled in 2024, with 204 bottles filled. On the nose there are vanilla, golden honey, lively lemon and a little sea salt, with a touch of clove. The palate is silky, with caramel, vanilla, malt and almond, and a bright citrus note. The finish brings oak and pepper, with malty sweetness staying on.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
