This is a 16 year old unpeated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, released in the distillery's Micro Provenance series, which looks at the influence of individual casks. It was distilled in 2007 and matured in a single first-fill bourbon barrel, which produced 222 bottles. The first-fill bourbon wood is described as bringing layers of vanilla, citrus and sweet oak, with a fresh, coastal, fruit-forward character.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
