Octomore 16.4 is a heavily peated single malt from Islay, bottled at 62.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The name comes from a distillery founded in 1816 by George Montgomery in Port Charlotte. Thomas Pattison took it over in 1852 and it shut within the year. A 2008 plan to reopen it was not carried out, though Bruichladdich has bottled a heavily peated single malt as Octomore since that year.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
